Early-career turbomachinery engineer responsible for owning propulsion subsystems from 1D cycle analysis and 3D CFD to hardware design and test. Work includes modeling, engine test support, troubleshooting, and partnering with design and manufacturing to deliver gas-path components for high-performance engines.

Design, analyze, and own mechanical subsystems (fuel, lube, cooling, balance-of-plant) from concept through drawing release, assembly, and testing. Develop manufacturable components, plan assembly processes, run component and system tests, instrument hardware, collect and interpret data, and collaborate across propulsion, electrical, and manufacturing teams to integrate subsystems into the full engine.

12-week onsite engineering internship embedded in core teams working on aircraft and gas-turbine hardware. Interns own hands-on work across materials, manufacturing, electrical/controls, mechanical design, turbomachinery, software tooling, or cross-functional special projects. Responsibilities include building, testing, process development, analysis, and shipping tools to accelerate hardware development under export-control constraints.

Build software that integrates with physical turbomachinery and factory systems: own components, ship production-ready code quickly, work with telemetry, HPC/GPU workloads, AI agents, and collaborate directly with engineers and technicians to deliver tools used in testing, design, and operations.

Own end-to-end operational problems: lead logistics moves, support investor diligence, build durable business processes, run analyses for site selection and make-vs-buy decisions, gather ground-truth data on the floor, and implement fixes to drive projects back on track.

Lead and architect engine test programs from hardware to first fire and through development campaigns. Build and train the test team, design control room and qualification curriculum, define instrumentation, procedures, and acceptance criteria, run multiple campaigns on schedule, and enforce safety and testing standards.

Build Engineers at Boom will design, manufacture, and test modules for jet engines, focusing on simplifying processes and interfaces. They engage directly with design and fabrication teams to streamline production.

The Supplier Development Engineer works hands-on with suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production processes for aerospace components.
