The Head of Product for Payroll will oversee Gusto's core payroll product, driving its strategy, roadmap, and business performance while leading a team and collaborating across various departments to enhance customer experience.

Lead and develop a team of Expansion Account Managers to drive upsell, cross-sell, retention, and expansion revenue. Own pipeline management, forecasting, sales coaching, playbook optimization, CRM-driven segmentation, and analytics to improve engagement, productivity, and long-term customer value.

Serve as a specialized tax operations contact, resolving payroll tax filing and payment issues for customers and tax agencies via phone and email. Track trends, surface feedback, and collaborate with CX teams to improve processes. Use AI platforms to streamline communications and enablement.

Lead financial services compliance for consumer and commercial products, payments, and embedded finance. Advise Product, Engineering, Legal, and Ops on launches, partnerships, controls, monitoring, vendor oversight, regulatory change management, and examinations. Build and scale compliance programs using AI-enabled workflows while ensuring human-in-the-loop controls and risk-based decision making.

Lead strategy, design, and operationalization of Gusto's Accountant Partner Program. Own program financials, partner relationships, enablement strategy, competitive intelligence, and vendor partnerships. Manage two enablement ICs, collaborate cross-functionally to build an AI-leveraged operating model, and represent Gusto externally to grow partner adoption and program reputation.

Own end-to-end revenue recognition for Gusto Retirement, apply ASC 606 to complex arrangements, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, support period closes and audits, build automation using AI/Python/SQL/Excel, and partner cross-functionally to improve revenue data integrity and processes.
