Entry-level Wells Engineers rotate through office and field assignments (drilling, completions, well intervention). Responsibilities include cost estimation, well and completion design, mud/cement/casing programs, drill string and bit selection, nodal analysis, and supervising or supporting on-site operations. Participants join the Wells Horizons development program and may transfer locations domestically or internationally after building core competencies.

Support drilling and completions engineers on real wells projects (design, optimization, reviews, safety/environmental studies, tool case studies, and contractor analyses). Work may include time on rigs or in decision support centers, build relationships, and gain exposure to Chevron safety, technology, and career opportunities. Top performers may receive return or full-time offers.

Participate in drilling and completions engineering projects, including optimization studies, well design reviews, tool case studies, safety and environmental analyses, and contractor reviews. Work with drilling/completions engineers and functional groups, may spend time on rigs or in Decision Support Center, and build relationships while learning Chevron’s safety and technology practices.
