Support live and recorded television broadcasts by operating cameras, creating graphics, setting up equipment, troubleshooting gear, and assisting directors and production staff. Serve as reliable fill-in staff, work varied shifts including nights and weekends, and perform physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds. Work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven studio, control room, office, or remote environments.

Report breaking and hard news for television and digital platforms. Develop sources, pitch original enterprise stories, work with photographers/producers/assignment editors, ad-lib live, participate in editorial meetings and community events, and maintain professionalism while updating newsroom on story progress.

Produce and curate local digital news content: update the website, craft data-driven homepage layouts, write attention-getting headlines, clip/edit video, send alerts, publish to social, and analyze traffic to grow audience. Collaborate with newsroom staff and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

The Production Assistant operates cameras, produces graphics, and collaborates with directors to capture scenes for broadcasts. Responsibilities include setup, maintenance, and technical adjustments of equipment during live and recorded production.
