The Principal Software Engineer II will lead and contribute to Elasticsearch's Storage Engine team, focusing on efficient data querying, indexing, and developing Timeseries solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, collaboration across teams, and expertise in Java and Elasticsearch.

Drive sales strategy, planning, reporting, and analysis for a major Americas sales area. Own pipeline KPIs, forecasting, variance analysis, territory and capacity planning, early-warning systems, and cross-functional GTM/resource alignment to support growth and bookings.

Design and implement new search features and fixes in Elasticsearch, invent or implement algorithms/data structures, collaborate with a distributed team, contribute to Lucene, and build scalable search functionality for serverless platforms.
