Develop and deploy automated system tests for distributed software systems. Design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure and CI/CD/IaC systems. Implement observability (monitoring, logging, alerting), automate reliability improvements, mentor engineers, collaborate on incident response, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain Akamai Cloud services.

Perform security-focused design reviews across applications, systems, networks, cloud, CDN, and security products. Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate vulnerabilities, guide secure design decisions, advise on security practices, support incident response, and ensure security and compliance requirements. Apply threat modeling, current vulnerability knowledge, and responsible AI practices while communicating effectively with global technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Design and implement platform security solutions across deployments, databases, and control planes. Deliver secure, scalable code, support full product lifecycle, collaborate with Product/Architecture/DevOps/InfoSec, and resolve complex platform and product security challenges.

Lead site reliability engineering for Akamai’s compute infrastructure and services. Develop automation, define reliability requirements and standards, establish SLOs and KPIs, troubleshoot complex distributed-system and hardware issues, manage incidents and postmortems, and participate in on-call rotations. Coordinate engineering teams, support strategic initiatives, mentor engineers, and guide restoration of service-impacting issues.

Lead technical architecture and thought leadership for AI and enterprise workloads on Akamai’s cloud, edge, delivery, and security platforms. Advise customers and stakeholders, identify AI adoption opportunities, design scalable solutions, guide framework and technology selection, and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, Product Management, and R&D. Shape product roadmaps, provide technical guidance, analyze requirements and data, and develop strategic customer relationships.

Manage relationships and negotiations with internet service providers, fiber providers, carriers, vendors, and partners. Develop connectivity strategies, negotiate contracts and pricing, support data center fiber builds, identify cost savings, coordinate capacity upgrades, and collaborate with internal infrastructure and provisioning teams across global regions.
