Own the architecture and operation of Coinbase’s end-to-end institutional trading platform, including sequencing, low-latency messaging, order and execution management, venue connectivity, and settlement. Design high-throughput systems, drive reliability and observability, lead incident response, reduce single points of failure, establish engineering standards, mentor teams, and partner with Product, Risk, Security, and Compliance on technical roadmaps.

Architect and own Coinbase’s real-time, cross-asset risk and margin engine for institutional trading. Design low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems; ensure reliability, observability, SLOs, and incident response; establish engineering standards; mentor engineers; and partner with Product, Trading, Credit Risk, Security, and Compliance to deliver the technical roadmap. The role requires deep Java, messaging, financial risk, margin, and regulated-systems expertise.

Own performance optimization, reliability, observability, capacity modeling, and automated failover for Coinbase’s blockchain node infrastructure. Diagnose resource bottlenecks, reduce infrastructure costs, define SLOs and SLIs, support protocol upgrades, and improve node performance across distributed systems at scale. Collaborate with protocol integration, wallet, and indexer teams while applying backend programming and systems profiling expertise.

Lead end-to-end pricing experimentation and strategy for consumer and business products. Design and analyze A/B tests, build pricing models and production-grade data pipelines, partner cross-functionally, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Lead legal strategy for Coinbase payments partnerships: draft, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements; provide business-centric regulatory guidance; partner cross-functionally to close deals; build scalable commercial playbooks and risk-mitigation strategies; manage a high-volume deal pipeline and coordinate with specialists and outside counsel.

Design, build, and scale highly available backend and frontend systems powering Coinbase trading experiences for millions of users. Architect extensible support for multiple trading types and assets, evolve critical production infrastructure, partner with product and design, and promote engineering quality through code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

Lead enterprise B2B product marketing for Base financial markets: define GTM roadmap, positioning, segmentation, and launches for trading, lending, and tokenization; build repeatable case-study and sales-enablement assets; run cross-functional launches; drive competitive and market intelligence; define and optimize metrics; mentor junior PMMs.

Lead regional launch readiness and localization for product and policy launches across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
