Design and build backend features and architecture for Coder’s enterprise platform. Improve scalability, database migrations, upgrade reliability, concurrency handling, and operational performance in regulated and air-gapped environments. Investigate production issues, document technical tradeoffs, participate in design reviews and code reviews, and support owned services through on-call rotations.

Own technical pre-sales for federal, defense, and intelligence customers. Lead platform demonstrations, architecture discussions, deployments, troubleshooting, and proofs of concept in cloud, on-premises, classified, and air-gapped environments. Partner with account executives to close opportunities, support renewals, translate technical capabilities into mission value, and provide customer feedback to product and engineering teams. Lead complex, multi-team engineering programs from definition through delivery. Own scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and stakeholder communication while coordinating engineering, product, design, security, and go-to-market teams. Influence architectural decisions, manage operating cadence, provide executive visibility, and improve engineering productivity through lightweight processes and AI-enabled tooling.

Own and scale Coder’s AWS partner sales engine across Public Sector and Eastern region accounts. Build proactive account maps, cultivate AWS relationships, create joint programs, generate AWS-sourced and influenced pipeline, and automate co-sell workflows. The role partners with account teams, supports ACE validation and partner reviews, and translates program performance into regional revenue plans.

Lead and grow the Core Workspaces engineering team, set technical direction, and contribute to architecture and implementation. Build reliable, extensible agentic systems involving agent execution, tool use, context management, streaming, integrations, and long-running workflows. Partner with Product and Design to improve developer experiences while coaching engineers, raising technical standards, and optimizing reliability, performance, and operability.

Build and improve internal AI enablement systems, including reusable journeys, skills, templates, paved paths, integrations, APIs, and development infrastructure. Partner with employees to identify blockers, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot workflows, and translate recurring needs into roadmap improvements. Support AI-assisted development environments, create documentation, and lead office hours, workshops, and enablement sessions. Collaborate with the Smart AI Program lead to execute roadmap priorities and improve internal developer experiences.

Build and operate production systems for agentic development experiences, including agent execution, tool use, context management, streaming, integrations, and long-running workflows. Extend provider-agnostic model architecture and connect agents with workspaces, tools, and developer infrastructure. Own projects through rollout, collaborate with Product and Design, participate in reviews, and improve system reliability, performance, and operability.

Own complex technical accounting activities including ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 718 stock compensation, consolidated financial reporting, and quarterly Board and investor reporting. Research and document accounting conclusions, maintain accounting policies, advise cross-functional teams, support external audits and SOX readiness, and evaluate multinational and multi-entity accounting matters. The role also contributes to process improvements, system enhancements, special projects, and AI-enabled accounting workflows.

Lead partner-focused go-to-market programs to drive pipeline, revenue, and adoption through AWS, WWT, and strategic partners. Create partner-ready positioning, enablement, competitive intelligence, and co-marketing campaigns. Build scalable enablement and partner portal content, align cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing, and serve as product marketing owner for strategic partnerships.
