Lead and supervise dock operations to ensure timely, damage-free shipment movement. Manage staffing, schedules, safety compliance, cost and efficiency improvements, customer interactions, claims, reporting, and administrative duties.

Responsible for multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation and review, reconciliations, exemption certificate administration, tax research, audit and notice support, and advisory guidance. The role researches taxability, identifies risk and refund opportunities, supports tax systems and process improvements, oversees vendors, and advises cross-functional business partners on accurate transaction coding, reporting, and compliance.

Oversee multi-jurisdictional operational tax compliance, including property, fuel, mileage, highway use, and motor carrier tax returns, payments, reconciliations, audits, and accounting support. Research tax requirements, advise business partners, manage vendor deliverables, identify process improvements, support tax projects and system changes, and prepare audit documentation, training materials, and guidance.

Supports account operations by analyzing financial data, servicing delinquent and bankrupt accounts, reconciling records, resolving escalated inquiries, maintaining accurate financial system data, onboarding accounts, and collaborating with internal departments to protect receivables and reduce bad debt.

Performs complex general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, accruals, variance analysis, and internal controls testing. Ensures GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, researches revenue and expenses, leads process improvement and regulatory initiatives, and coaches junior professionals. The role requires strong analytical, communication, accounting, and financial reporting skills.

Performs complex accounting activities supporting general ledger close, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, accruals, variance reviews, and financial reporting analysis. Ensures compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Leads accounting process improvement and regulatory initiatives, documents control testing, and mentors less experienced staff.

Develop new business, implement accounts, and manage customer relationships for LTL freight services within a defined territory. Identify prospects, conduct outreach and sales presentations, develop proposals, negotiate pricing, close deals, and grow existing accounts. Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver customer solutions. Use Salesforce and Microsoft Office to manage sales activities. The role requires residence near the Orlando, Florida FedEx Freight location and overnight travel as needed.

Investigates over, short, and damaged freight exceptions; manages disposition requests, validates shipment controls, authorizes resolutions, and ensures accurate freight charges. Supports claims reduction, customer communications, OS&D policy updates, center education, reporting, and regulatory information requests. Requires knowledge of LTL freight handling, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Supports revenue quality through customer pricing audits, contract implementation, revenue capture, financial analysis, forecasting, business planning, and performance reporting. Maintains pricing and financial systems, develops revenue quality metrics, supports management with financial guidance, and collaborates with operations and functional departments on projects and business needs.

Provides employee relations support, advises managers on policies and employment law, assists with investigations and litigation, prepares reports, maintains confidential records, and supports HR processes including recruitment, transfers, terminations, and exit interviews.
