Lead the Accounting department overseeing consolidated financial statements, audits, grants, HUD/LIHTC and bond reporting. Develop policies, internal controls, and improvements; manage CAFR, ERP systems, and a high-performing team to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in a regulated multi-entity environment.

Supervise daily payroll and accounts payable operations, including biweekly payroll processing, invoice and payment workflows, reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, compliance, issue resolution, and internal controls. Provide direction and training to accounts payable staff, support audits and budgeting, maintain confidential financial records, and improve accounting procedures and workflows. The role requires accurate, timely processing and coordination across payroll, procurement, accounting, and financial reporting activities.

Processes and verifies accounts payable transactions, staff expense reports, credit card expenses, vendor checks, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations. Investigates discrepancies, resolves aging balances and outstanding accounting items, assists with 1099 processing and month-end close, prepares required reports, and supports payment prioritization and cash-flow management. The role also provides payable transaction support, maintains confidential information, and collaborates with accounting staff on cross-training and handoffs.
