Design, model, and implement high-performance adaptive optics systems for high-energy lasers. Develop optimization routines and wave-optics simulation tools, collaborate with vendors on deformable mirrors and wavefront sensors, align and calibrate AO hardware, characterize optical environments, and integrate AO subsystems to improve beam quality and stability.
