Define requirements, performance budgets, run trade studies, engage vendors, oversee tests and factory acceptance, integrate systems with controls and lasers, mentor staff, and grow the Adaptive Optics group with documentation and processes.

Model and validate mechanical features (baffles, beam dumps), identify hot spots and fringing, write scripts to automate simulations and data processing, and collaborate with optical, mechanical, and materials teams to meet system-level stray light requirements.

Manage month-end/quarterly/annual close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and maintain internal controls. Lead cost accounting for capital-intensive manufacturing (inventory, WIP, overhead, standard costing), oversee fixed assets and capex, and handle R&D accounting and tax credit documentation. Support ERP and compliance tool implementations and assist with audits and tax incentives.

Manage day-to-day security operations, CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance, and data privacy programs. Administer Microsoft Purview and Defender, run incident response, maintain SSP/POA&M, support air-gapped security, integrate logging/SIEM, and collaborate across IT, legal, and engineering to enforce security controls and evidence collection.
