Develops and owns instrumentation and controls systems for laboratory, pilot, demonstration, and commercial chemical process facilities. Responsibilities include control narratives, instrumentation and automation hardware selection, PLC programming, SCADA and HMI development, electrical design, wiring, commissioning, troubleshooting, documentation, and field operations. The role coordinates with process engineering teams, manages internal and external I&C workflows, oversees contractors, and supports electrochemical and chemical production systems.

Design, prototype, test, and validate mechanical hardware for electrochemical systems, including cells, test stands, fixtures, flow and thermal-management components, and sealing solutions. Create CAD models and drawings, implement instrumentation and data acquisition, coordinate fabrication and sourcing, and optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, reliability, and production yield. Collaborate with electrochemical R&D, process engineering, manufacturers, vendors, and consultants to advance concepts from prototypes to commercial-scale assemblies.

Lead Travertine’s engineering function from demonstration-scale technology through commercial critical-mineral plant deployment. Responsibilities include building the engineering organization, developing scalable process designs and engineering packages, managing EPCs and vendors, overseeing multidisciplinary engineering programs, driving process safety, supporting permits and constructability, and translating R&D and demonstration data into cost-effective commercial facilities. The role requires extensive chemical process engineering experience, commercial plant delivery expertise, and leadership across design, construction, commissioning, and startup.
