Top Tech Jobs & Startup Jobs in Denver & Boulder, CO

Develop and test flight software for spacecraft computers, integrate GNC algorithms, maintain command telemetry databases, and build simulators, device drivers, and communications libraries. The role includes spacecraft command scripting, ground-software collaboration, code reviews, and flight-software architecture work. Candidates need low-level firmware and safety-critical systems experience, embedded RTOS knowledge, C/C++ proficiency, and familiarity with hardware and networking protocols. This is an onsite position near Denver or Long Beach and requires the ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Develop high-fidelity spacecraft simulation software in modern C++ and Python. Build multi-physics models covering spacecraft dynamics, thermal systems, attitude control, propulsion, power, sensors, and actuators. Implement solver architectures and time-stepping algorithms for real-time and faster-than-real-time simulation, maintain multi-language APIs, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in code reviews and planning.

Leads and grows a team of modeling and simulation engineers developing high-fidelity physics-based models and digital twins for spacecraft design, testing, and operations. Provides technical oversight of modeling architecture, validation, and integration; owns the team roadmap; coordinates cross-functional delivery; manages hiring, performance, development, and team culture; and translates organizational strategy into execution.

Develop and enhance high-fidelity, multi-physics spacecraft simulation software covering dynamics, thermal systems, propulsion, power, sensors, and actuators. Design performant C++ and Python APIs, numerical solvers, integration schemes, and coupled-physics algorithms. Lead architectural decisions, verification and validation, documentation, code reviews, technical planning, and mentoring while collaborating with mission planning, GNC, and systems engineering teams.

Develop and test flight software for spacecraft, including onboard computers, GNC algorithm integration, command and telemetry systems, spacecraft sequencing, subsystem simulators, device drivers, and communications libraries. Collaborate with ground software teams across spacecraft design, manufacturing, integration, and flight operations. The role requires low-level firmware, embedded RTOS, safety-critical systems, C/C++, Python, and eligibility for TS/SCI clearance.

Leads flight software design, development, integration, testing, and architecture for spacecraft computers. Responsibilities include integrating GNC algorithms, maintaining command and telemetry databases, developing simulators, device drivers, communication libraries, and command sequencing, while collaborating with ground software teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and supporting technical trade studies.

Own the architecture and technical direction of spacecraft flight software, leading safety-critical embedded development, GNC integration, device drivers, communications libraries, simulation environments, and command telemetry systems. Establish engineering standards, guide verification and validation, support ground-system interfaces, and provide technical leadership across design reviews and multidisciplinary programs. The role requires deep real-time embedded, firmware, and low-level software expertise for delivered space or safety-critical missions.

Leads strategy, design, analysis, testing, delivery, and technical oversight of propulsion subsystems across space vehicles. Manages propulsion engineers and technical leads, approves flight hardware designs, balances technical, cost, and schedule requirements, resolves cross-functional issues, manages suppliers, and develops team capabilities. Requires extensive aerospace propulsion or fluid systems experience, people leadership, and U.S. citizenship for government-related work.

As a Mechanical CAD Drafter, you will create precise drawings for spacecraft components, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and collaborating with engineering teams for documentation and quality assurance.

Oversee the security posture of classified information systems and develop RMF authorization documentation, including SSPs, POA&Ms, control traceability matrices, inventories, and network diagrams. Implement security policies aligned with government standards, guide program personnel, coordinate secure configurations and patching, support change control, conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, and assist with continuous monitoring and certification activities. The role is fully onsite in Denver and requires U.S. citizenship plus TS/SCI eligibility.
