Responsible for firm-wide tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Duties include supporting partnership tax returns and Schedule K-1s, preparing local tax returns, reconciling accounts, monitoring deadlines and tax law changes, responding to tax notices and audits, assisting with partner communications, and preparing tax projections and analyses.

Coordinates logistics and execution for premier marketing events, including venues, transportation, registration, communications, event technology, collateral, vendors, onsite support, contracts, inventory, budgets, invoices, and post-event reporting. Maintains accurate attendee and CRM data while ensuring brand consistency, operational quality, and confidentiality. Leads external communications strategy for Cooley’s business department, including media relations, reputation management, awards, thought leadership, crisis communications, messaging, and content promotion. Manages internal and agency communications professionals, advises firm leaders and lawyers, serves as a media spokesperson, and oversees team development, hiring, performance management, and communications operations.

Maintains and verifies client and matter data across business intake and conflicts systems. Processes engagement, waiver, closure, and name-change requests; links parties; maintains ethical walls, database alerts, and administrative files; performs data cleanup and reporting projects; supports technology testing; and communicates intake and risk-management procedures to attorneys, staff, and external parties.

Supports patent practitioners and clients with US patent prosecution filings, late-evening urgent requests, USPTO correspondence, formalities, office-action reporting, portfolio administration, and quality control. Coordinates filing workflows, reviews documents for accuracy and compliance, manages deadlines, communicates with clients and internal teams, and applies USPTO rules, risk-management directives, and firm best practices. Senior-level duties may include mentoring colleagues and leading process-improvement initiatives.

Design, build, and maintain the firm's intranet and automated workflows using SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Exchange Online and related Microsoft 365 technologies. Architect secure, scalable persona-based digital experiences, develop automation and templates, implement SPFx/React solutions, integrate REST APIs, support governance, documentation, analytics with Power BI, and drive user adoption and continuous improvement.

Lead marketing for the M&A, PE, and Capital Markets business unit: manage intake/prioritization of requests, pitches and proposals, digital and creative enablement, rankings submissions, practice-led events, content and bio stewardship, market research, lateral attorney onboarding, and supervise and develop direct reports while supporting hiring and performance processes.

Manage multiple firm operations projects end-to-end, coordinating agile software development, vendor selection, process reengineering, budgeting, procurement, change management, KPIs and stakeholder communications. Maintain project artifacts, plans, and reports; surface risks and dependencies; ensure operational readiness and delivery across up to five high-profile initiatives concurrently.
