Serves as the primary customer-site liaison, managing industrial repair orders, spare-parts strategy, approvals, shipments, inventory, reporting, and customer relationships. Works with maintenance, purchasing, and engineering personnel to improve equipment reliability, reduce costs, and maintain service quality. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, technical understanding, attention to detail, physical activity, and occasional forklift operation.

Provides pre- and post-sales technical support for industrial automation solutions. Responsibilities include customer visits, product demonstrations, technical discovery, component sizing and specification, scope-of-work development, product training, troubleshooting, and onsite application support. Collaborates with sales, engineering, materials, operations, manufacturers, and customers to recommend suitable automation solutions. Requires strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills, plus an engineering or related technical degree or equivalent experience.

Manage and train the Application Engineering team, strengthen engineering participation in sales, maintain partner certifications, track engineering-supported sales utilization, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations. Develop sales application tactics, support branch sales calls, promote technical competency through SIPEC initiatives, and lead creation of technical white papers and product videos. The role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical automation designs, application field sales, business software, and ERP, CRM, and QMS systems.

Drive territory growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans, prospecting and winning new business, managing customer relationships, leveraging inside sales and technical support, and using CRM and data to manage pipeline and territory.

Supervise and coach the inside sales team to drive proactive selling, deliver timely quotes and follow-up, ensure customer satisfaction, recruit and train staff, liaise with outside sales and management, enforce policies, and support sales and marketing plan implementation.
