Tax interns prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns; calculate estimates, vouchers, extensions, and projections; research federal and state tax regulations; support client engagements; collaborate with teams; and develop accounting software and tax-planning skills while progressing toward CPA certification.

Assist with audit procedures, documentation, workpaper preparation, and audit, review, and other engagements. Analyze financial data, research client and industry matters, communicate findings, support engagement teams, and build client relationships while gaining public accounting experience.

Supervise and perform audit, review, and compilation engagements; lead teams of up to five staff; analyze financial statements, controls, and audit evidence; prepare and review workpapers; research accounting and auditing matters; communicate engagement status and issues to managers, partners, and clients; and apply GAAP, GAAS, AICPA, FASB, and applicable state regulations.

Participate in IT audit and consulting engagements, including SOC, ISO, cybersecurity, HITRUST, and Sarbanes-Oxley assessments. Evaluate client platforms, controls, risks, and audit evidence; develop control tests, prepare reports, assess effectiveness, analyze operational data, conduct client interviews, and identify or resolve audit issues. Interns receive hands-on project and client-facing experience while applying professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Lead SOX 404 and Internal Audit engagements, ensuring compliance and managing workflow. Develop client relationships, mentor staff, and enhance business processes.

Supports financial and IT audit, review, and advisory engagements under supervision. Learns client systems, control environments, financial and IT controls, process risks, and control-testing procedures. Assists with SOC audits, IT General Controls, ISO assessments, SOX, internal audits, and agreed-upon procedures. Interacts with clients to identify and resolve audit issues while participating in training and internal meetings.

Performs and documents audit procedures from planning through completion, prepares workpapers and client deliverables, analyzes financial statements, evaluates risks and internal controls, researches technical and industry matters, and collaborates with clients and engagement teams to resolve audit issues.

Research and prospect target accounts via outbound and inbound channels, engage decision-makers including C-level, qualify leads, and generate meetings. Maintain accurate CRM records, use sales tools (Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, PitchBook), coordinate handoffs to sales and account teams, and collaborate with internal stakeholders while continuously learning Armanino's services to support firmwide growth.

Supports FP&A and enterprise analytics by developing scalable Power BI reporting, financial models, dashboards, and automated processes. Analyzes financial and operational datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; improves forecasting, budgeting, and recurring reporting workflows using Excel, Python, SQL, Power Automate, and Microsoft platforms. Collaborates with finance, data engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, trains users, maintains governance standards, and contributes to the Pigment planning platform. Evaluates AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.
