The Mechanical Engineer II supports the design and testing of umbilical systems for the New Glenn launch vehicle, focusing on mechanical and fluid systems while managing suppliers and documentation.

Lead architectural design and development of free-space optical communications systems. Conduct analysis for optimal design, manage risks, and interface with stakeholders for mission alignment. Mentor engineers and advocate for advances in optical communications technologies.

The Aerothermal Engineer II will support the design and analysis of aerothermal models for space vehicles, focusing on reentry environments and rocket plume impacts throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.

Design and develop valves for lunar landers, managing the entire lifecycle from design to testing. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.

Lead software systems engineering for lunar avionics: define embedded software requirements, verify and test safety-critical software, manage hardware-software integration, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with certification and fault-management practices for spacecraft missions.

Lead design, implementation, and testing of advanced navigation and estimation algorithms (primarily Kalman filters) for INS/GPS. Model and simulate inertial sensors, integrate navigation components into GNC/avionics, validate performance in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop, analyze and calibrate IMUs, troubleshoot test issues, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally.
