Plans, coordinates, and executes spacecraft, subsystem, software, hardware, and integrated system testing. Develops test procedures and displays, verifies readiness, monitors telemetry and system health, manages configuration control, resolves anomalies, documents results, and supports environmental qualification, mission simulations, launch readiness, and requirements verification. The role coordinates multidisciplinary teams during time-sensitive test operations while maintaining safety, procedural discipline, hardware integrity, and mission assurance.

Develop and transition computer vision and image processing algorithms from prototypes to production-ready spacecraft systems. Design tracking, navigation, estimation, filtering, uncertainty-analysis, and optimization algorithms; validate performance through simulations, benchmarks, and real-world sensor data; assess camera and optical hardware impacts; and define APIs for integration with software and spacecraft architectures.

Lead end-to-end design, architecture, integration, verification, and testing of spacecraft electrical subsystems including avionics, power, and communications. Develop requirements, interface documentation, trade studies, integration plans, and test procedures; support environmental testing, launch campaigns, flight readiness, and anomaly resolution. Coordinate suppliers and manufacturing partners, participate in technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers. Level IV engineers provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary spacecraft programs.

Develops analog, digital, and mixed-signal spacecraft electronics from concept through flight delivery. Responsibilities include schematic capture, multilayer PCB design, hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, validation, anomaly resolution, integration, qualification, documentation, and participation in spacecraft assembly, integration, and test campaigns and engineering reviews.

Develop, integrate, debug, and test embedded flight and payload software for spacecraft running VxWorks and Linux. Collaborate with avionics, payload, propulsion, GNC, mission operations, and ground software teams to implement flight behaviors, command sequences, scheduling logic, and autonomous capabilities. Support hardware-in-the-loop testing, system integration, functional verification, and documentation in a rapid, schedule-driven environment.

Lead the full lifecycle development of flight-qualified spacecraft propulsion systems, from architecture and design through manufacturing, qualification, integration, and flight operations. Provide technical authority, lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, conduct trade studies, manage risks and program execution, support customer and design reviews, resolve complex technical issues, and mentor engineers. The role spans chemical and electric propulsion technologies for national security, civil, and commercial space missions.
