Senior Manager of People Operations Bridget Murphy remembers how she felt when she first saw TaskRay’s benefits package.

“I was blown away,” she recalled.

With industry-leading perks, including health insurance covered at 99 percent, flexible PTO and having every other Friday off, Murphy couldn’t pass up the opportunity to join the team. Yet for her, it wasn’t the benefits themselves that sealed the deal.

“What was even more exciting was the possibility of working for an organization that so clearly puts its people first,” Murphy said.

Over the past year, she has seen the company truly prioritize its employees — herself included. In addition to being promoted, Murphy has had the chance to spearhead crucial initiatives geared toward providing even greater support to team members.

And according to her, future new hires can expect to make the same impact. Because sharing your voice and driving change isn’t just encouraged at the company — it’s required.

“Get ready to contribute in a big way from day one,” Murphy said.

Built In Colorado caught up with Murphy to learn how TaskRay enables its people to live balanced lives and achieve their professional goals.

SIMPLIFYING THE POST-SALES MOMENT

TaskRay’s Salesforce-native onboarding solution is designed to unify companies and customers around the post-sales moment. Teams can use the company’s software to organize and manage their work and processes once a deal is marked as “closed won.”

What first stood out to you about TaskRay, and how have your expectations been met since coming aboard?

I remember the first time I saw TaskRay’s long list of employee perks and benefits, which included health insurance covered at 99 percent, flexible PTO, a wellness stipend, having every other Friday off, competitive compensation and much more. I knew I wanted those benefits for myself. And when I interviewed with TaskRay's CEO, Sam Swan, I could feel how passionate he was about creating an atmosphere that drives results and recognizes high-performers.

TaskRay has truly exceeded my expectations. Our perks and benefits are even better now than when I started. And within a year, we’ve promoted nine of our team members — bolstering our promotion rate of 22 percent — and implemented a compensation adjustment program to remain equitable and competitive.

TaskRay has truly exceeded my expectations.”

What has been your biggest success story since joining the team?

When I joined TaskRay just over one year ago, I was immediately given the autonomy and support to evaluate our current employee value proposition and create a strategy that would take us to the next level. We want our employees to thrive in and outside of the workplace, and as TaskRay continues to grow, we know our employees may be growing their families simultaneously. I’m proud of the fact that we prioritized changes that drastically improved insurance premium costs for dependent coverage. I’m also thrilled to say that, with those changes, we also achieved lower costs for employee coverage and a new plan model that will scale with our business.

I’ve been given the opportunity to bring the people ops vision to life. I’m so proud of the fact that, within my first year at TaskRay, I was promoted from manager to senior manager of people ops. We also recently celebrated our first employer award when we were named a Best Place to Work by Built In Colorado.

How can new hires make an immediate impact at TaskRay?

We’re a small team of just under 50 individuals, and every person here has a voice — and we expect to hear it. We’re constantly looking to improve our product, and we value every perspective in the room. No idea is too big or small, and we’re not afraid of failure. So get ready to share your voice and join a team that is innovative and passionate about driving change.
