How to Lead & Compete in a Digital Universe - Now Available on Amazon!

I’ve written my first marketing book and would love your support.  If you’re interested in learning how sales and marketing alignment can be achieved for the sake of maximizing growth, please click here to buy your copy on Amazon

The book is meant to help business leaders understand how to grow their business  in a digitally distracted world.  It’s a quick read, not too technical, and even a little entertaining.  Here’s what the people I sent copies to in advance had to say about it:

"Eric’s been a straight shooter ever since I first met him and his experience and insight into digital strategy and development shines through in his writing. At times, understanding this type of strategy can be daunting but Eric simplifies and explains it clearly, using real-life examples and metrics to make his case. It’s an excellent read." – Jonathan Segal

“If you read one business book this year, this is it.  In his ground breaking work, Eric lays a clear path for executives to capitalize on the digital era of marketing.” - Jennifer Clement

“Eric helps those of us outside this complex industry understand how to prioritize spend and connect every element of digital campaigns to the bottom line.” – Dan McDade

“Eric has done a great job of distilling the complex array of tactics required to succeed in digital marketing and sales for 2017 and beyond. If you're a business owner and looking to make sense of modern marketing, Eric will help you take aim and hit your targets for growth in an online world.” – Jeff White

I really appreciate your support and hope you get a chance to read it.  If you like it enough to leave me a review I’ll be indebted.

If you'd like a sneak peek, here's an excerpt:

Understanding Modern Consumer Behavior

Technology Has Dramatically Changed the World

The world as we know it is completely different than the one in which most of us grew up. Anyone who was caught up in the recent hype around Back to the Future received a great reminder of what things were like thirty years ago. A typical day then looked much different than it does now.

Our behavior has shifted over the last three decades, due in large part to the rise of technology. The prominence of computers, the Internet, and mobile devices had a massive influence on how we act and interact as we’ve gained widespread access to information. Our new access has made it easier to communicate and gain information, thus changing our behavior. Gone are the days of yore when advertisers simply needed to run slick television commercials to sell millions of products.

The Information Age shattered that simplistic model. As technology has advanced further, the general consumer behaves differently and expects much more from various products and companies. Today, we have smartphones, social media, apps, and 4G connections. We can have whatever we want, whenever we want it, wherever we are. It’s instant gratification or bust. Enter what Forrester Research refers to as the “Age of the Customer.”

How do we compete for time and attention as we try to do business in the twenty-first century? To really understand what we should do to compete, we need to understand the factors that led to current consumer behavior.
