We all want to eat and feel better, but we don’t always know where to start.

Everything can become an obstacle: knowing where to shop, finding healthy ingredients, scheduling, meal prep and a million other things that pop up. Thankfully, these local companies remove those elements from the process.

No Cow

It’s hard to get around milk and butter when you’re making cookies, but Denver-based No Cow has it down to a science. The company provides non-dairy, high-protein and low-sugar products, including bars and protein cookies. Founder Daniel Katz came up with the idea for the company and launched it in 2015, when he was just 18 years old. The products were a response to his own issues with dairy. In 2017, No Cow partnered with General Mills and former Isopure CEO and president Chris Hickey joined as CEO of the company.

Let’s Be Chefs

We’ve all been meaning to try that one recipe, but who has the time for all the planning involved? Let’s Be Chefs is an app that finds users new recipes every week, provides customized menus, helps users schedule meals, organize grocery lists and rate their favorites. It also gives suggestions based on the user’s taste, as well as reminders about when to start cooking the meal.

Oh My Green

Oh My Green believes that since people spend so much time at their workplace, it should be easy to eat healthier there. The company provides healthy drinks and snacks for workplace kitchens. Oh My Green also provides farm-to-table catering services. In 2017, the company announced the launch of the Oh My Green Box with the acquisition of Blissmo, an online platform for users looking for organic and eco-friendly products.

My Cuistot

My Cuistot literally brings healthy food to your doorstep. The weekly subscription meal service  delivers fresh food prepared by a personal chef. The food comes cooked and just needs to be heated. The company is originally from Paris but serves Denver and other cities.

Green Chef

The hardest part about cooking can be finding recipes and the time to go grocery shopping. Green Chef tries to make the process more convenient. The meal kit delivery service provides USDA-certified organic ingredients and healthy recipes, including meals for a omnivore, paleo, keto or vegan diet.
