Every week, we dig through our events calendar and hand-select five events worth checking out. Denver Startup Week may be over, but there are still tons of great events to keep you busy this week. Here's what’s going on in Colorado tech.

Daybreak Education Series: Ideation to Support Innovative Teams, October 3 at 7:30 a.m.

Rise and shine with this educational seminar focused on ideation, design thinking and innovation. Led by Mike Stemple, CEO of Inspirer, and Shawn Davison, CEO of DVmobile, this session will cover the fundamentals of ideation and identify best practices for taking an idea from concept to reality.

Global Blockchain Summit, October 4 at 7 a.m.

Hear from the blockchain industry’s greatest minds at this two-day worldwide conference being held right here in Golden, CO. Attendees can learn more about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and the many ways tech leaders are incorporating this technology into forward-thinking products.

Sales, Technology and Emerging Trends: Panel Discussion and Mixer, October 5 at 5 p.m.

Sales pros, come network with fellow professionals and listen to a panel of local experts discuss the trends and challenges salespeople face and how today’s technology impacts the sales process. All proceeds for the event will go to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief efforts.

Closing Your Seed Round: How to Engage Investors For Your Startup, October 5 at 6:30 p.m.

Navigating the waters of startup funding can be tricky. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to pique the interest of investors and avoid the infamous pitfalls that many founders face. Come prepared to learn, ask questions and talk to other founders who have been in your shoes.

Xilinx Technology Showcase and Hackathon, October 6 at 3 p.m.

Longmont-based Xilinx is hosting two events in one, kicking off with a showcase of its latest hardware and software products. Then, stick around for a 30-hour hackathon where attendees get to create custom hardware with simple software scripts for the chance to win $2,000 in cash prizes.
