Recently, Rally Software has caught the attention of tech industry due to its IPO in April. The Agile project management software company has deep ties to Colorado, having been founded here in 2001. Today, the company is digging its heels in even deeper with a commitment to more than double its Boulder headquarters.

Housed at 3333 Walnut Street, Rally will add 89,000 square feet of space to its existing 65,545 square feet. The increased space is a physical indicator of the company’s growth following its IPO. Shares were initially offered for $14.00 and are now trading at over $24, according to Yahoo! Finance. At the time of the IPO, Rally reached a valuation of over $400 million.

With a team of 378 individuals, Rally Software serves 184,000 users in 115 countries. Thirty-four Fortune 100 companies use Rally tools, with customers covering the financial services, government, healthcare, media and entertainment, and mobile and communications, regulated and technology industries.

For CEO Tim Miller, Boulder is not only Rally’s birthplace, it’s also its home.

Rally Software has grown up in Boulder and we feel lucky to continue to contribute to the city’s place as a tech hotbed - now as a public company,“ Miller said in a statement. “Driven by strong customer demand for our cloud-based software solutions, we’re growing, expanding and hiring in Boulder, Europe and Singapore.”
