FullContact got a lot of press this summer for paying its employees to take vacation. Can you say best boss ever? But the company deserves recognition for its products as well as its policies. Despite the proliferation of smartphones and other devices intended to help organize our lives, people’s contact lists still tend to be in disarray. FullContact aims to fill in the blanks and make it easier for companies and individuals keep track of their contacts.
We caught up with VP of Business Development Ben Deda for a little more insight on his company.
IN YOUR OWN WORDS, WHAT DOES FULLCONTACT DO?
Deda: FullContact is solving the world's contact information problem. We provide a cloud-based contact management solution for businesses, developers, and individuals.
WHAT IS THE STATUS OF YOUR FUNDING?
We closed a $7 mm Series B in July led by Foundry Group. Our investors include Foundry Group, High Country Ventures, TechStars, 500Startups, Zelkova Ventures, Five Mill Ventures, The Iron Yard, Social Leverage, and eonBusiness.
WHY ARE YOU BASED IN DENVER?
The company was founded in Denver and we all love the work/life balance in Denver. Downtown Denver is a great central location for us to pull talent from the entire metro area with great public transit options, entertainment, and other great companies near by.
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE PARTNERS?
We have some great fellow Foundry Group companies like SEOmoz and Yesware that are in a similar space and with whom we can share ideas. We also love to work with fellow Denver companies like Next Great Place and Galvanize and TechStars companies like SimpleEnergy and Salesloft.
