Deloitte’s 2022 Technology Fast 500 List Featured 17 Colorado Companies

Over the past few years, Colorado has become home to a variety of tech companies, several of which have moved from California or New Zealand. As the state’s tech scene continues to grow, more local companies are receiving national recognition.

According to the Deloitte 2022 Technology Fast 500 list, 17 of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America are from Colorado. This is nearly double the number of local companies that landed on the list last year.

“It’s inspiring to see nearly twice as many Colorado companies featured in this year’s Fast 500 list versus last year, which I believe speaks to the innovation boom our region has experienced over the last few years,” Chris Schmidt, managing partner for Deloitte’s Denver office, said in a statement. “As Colorado continues to attract top talent and foster innovation, I look forward to seeing even more entrepreneurs dare to make their big ideas reality.”

Companies on this year’s list were chosen based on their fiscal year revenue growth between 2018 and 2021. The 28th annual list ranks companies based on their percentage growth rate and includes businesses spanning the technology industry, including fintech, media, life sciences, insurtech and more.

According to this year’s ranking, Colorado-based companies grew their revenue from 243 percent to a whopping 9,899 percent. Denver-based Fluid Truck was the fastest-growing company, ranking ninth on the national list.

Several Colorado companies on the 2022 Deloitte list, also landed on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing, privately-held businesses in the U.S.
