These Colorado Tech Companies Opened New Offices in 2022

The list includes homegrown startups, as well as out-of-towners establishing a Colorado hub.

At a time when employees are allowed to live anywhere, tech companies are still choosing to open brick-and-mortar offices here in Colorado.

Built In Colorado has compiled a running list of companies that have opened physical office locations here in the Centennial State. The list includes out-of-town companies that opened a hub office for Colorado employees, as well as homegrown businesses that upgraded to a larger space.

Teamwork, an Ireland-based SaaS company that offers project management tools, opened an office in Denver on December 14. The new office is located in a local WeWork. Teamwork will hire 20 employees to staff the new space. 

 

Focused Labs is a software consulting and development company headquartered in Chicago. In October, the company opened a new office in Denver’s Dairy Block micro-district. According to Focused Labs, the new office will help keep up with the growing demand for its services in the region. 

 

Sugarwish is a baked goods and candy gifting company that partners with employers to reward employees with sweet treats. In early October, the Denver-based company opened two new fulfillment facilities in Englewood. The two spaces sit at 35,000 square feet and are expected to help Sugarwish speed up its delivery times. 

 

In September, Atom Computing opened a research and development facility in Boulder. Alongside the new office, the California-based company said it planned to create 22 new quantum computing jobs. Atom Computing’s new facility adds to the growing quantum computing ecosystem in Colorado, which includes big names like ColdQuanta and Quantinuum. Atom Computing was founded in 2018.

 

Antler, a global venture capital firm already in more than 20 cities, opened a Boulder office on June 27 within the WeWork co-working space at 2755 Canyon Blvd. The space has room for about 50 desks, which is the number of startup founders admitted into the firm’s six-week accelerator program.

 

Massachusetts-based software intelligence firm Dynatrace announced plans in May to open a 52,000-square-foot office in lower downtown, or LoDo, at 1900 16th Ave. The company selected Denver for its new global customer experience hub after evaluating more than 50 cities across the U.S., according to the Denver Business Journal. The company plans to hire 100 to 150 Denver-area professionals by early 2023.

 

GIS mapping company Esri announced in April that it would open a new office at the Colorado Tech Center in Louisville. The Redlands, California-based company previously ran its Colorado operations from the Interlocken Business Park in Broomfield, but the company decided to upgrade its office after increasing its Colorado headcount from 140 to 200.

 

Virginia-based defense contractor Northrop Grumman is expanding its presence in Boulder with an additional 23,680-square-foot office in the Longbow office park, according to the Denver Business Journal. The 400-person Colorado team is expected to gain another 100 employees to work on missile-launch detection satellites and other projects.

 

Digital innovation agency Bounteous was slated to open a new downtown Denver office in early 2022. The 50-person Denver team was previously working out of a third-floor office at 1514 Blake St. The new 8,000-square-foot office is located in Granite Tower,  a 31-story high-rise building at 1099 18th St.
