About the Role
Title: Web Marketing Manager
Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: Austin, Texas
CharterUP is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Web Marketing Manager to take full ownership of the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of our website. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of marketing and product, responsible for elevating our web presence and aligning the site’s functionality and content with strategic business goals.
As the strategic and tactical lead for CharterUP’s web experience, you’ll manage a roadmap focused on performance, UX/UI improvements, SEO alignment, and content optimization. You will collaborate cross-functionally to transform marketing and product priorities into scalable website initiatives that drive measurable results.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end management of a CharterUP website, including content structure, UX enhancements, feature development, and overall performance optimization.
- Lead and execute web development projects, using no-code/low-code tools or working with external partners to implement updates and new features.
- Align with SEO strategy to ensure that on-page content, metadata, internal linking, and technical elements follow best practices for organic search visibility.
- Act as the product owner for the website, managing a backlog of features, improvements, and optimizations that support growth and engagement.
- Monitor site analytics and performance, leveraging data to prioritize updates, test hypotheses, and improve conversion paths.
- Execute A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to refine user flows and increase lead generation effectiveness.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, design, and content teams to deliver a cohesive digital experience that supports campaigns, launches, and business objectives.
- Ensure site compliance with accessibility standards, privacy regulations, and SEO and usability best practices.
- Stay current on digital trends, tools, and technologies to inform improvements and innovation across the web experience.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in web marketing, website management, or digital product marketing, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-stage environment.
- Proven success managing and optimizing WordPress websites with a focus on performance, UX, and alignment with marketing goals.
- Strong experience in WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin management, and site performance/security best practices.
- Skilled in integrating third-party tools (e.g. CRMs, analytics, marketing automation) to enhance functionality and marketing effectiveness.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, with experience implementing tactics that support broader search strategies.
- Fluency in analytics and reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and related platforms.
- Strong familiarity with product development processes, especially in the context of continuous web improvement.
- Excellent project management, prioritization, and communication skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
