Sardine’s platform is strengthened by one of the fastest-growing fraud consortiums in the market, spanning more than 6 billion profiled devices, 800 million consumers, and 3 million businesses worldwide. • We hire talented, self-motivated individuals with extreme ownership and high growth orientation.

  • We value performance and not hours worked. We believe you shouldn't have to miss your family dinner, your kid's school play, friends get-together, or doctor's appointments for the sake of adhering to an arbitrary work schedule.

About The Role

Sales Engineering is a team of subject matter experts who serve as trusted technical advisors to prospective customers. In this role, you will lead federal agency prospects through the sales process by connecting their mission needs to Sardine's value. You will deliver tailored product demonstrations, respond to federal RFPs/RFIs, navigate agency security reviews, and win over technical and compliance teams with your consultative approach.

Internally, your field insights will shape our product roadmap and federal go-to-market strategy. You will play a key role in establishing Sardine's presence in the public sector.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support Federal Account Executives in identifying agency fraud, identity, and compliance needs across civilian, defense, and intelligence communities.

  • Prepare and deliver customized demos tailored to federal use cases (benefits fraud, identity proofing, payment fraud, AML).

  • Interface with agency Security and IT teams to articulate Sardine's security posture, support ATO (Authority to Operate) processes, and complete agency security reviews and questionnaires.

  • Lead and respond to federal RFPs, RFIs, Sources Sought notices, and other federal procurement vehicles.

  • Create comprehensive Solution Designs that address agency mission requirements and align to federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).

  • Collaborate with peers to refine federal-specific processes within the Sales Engineering team.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to identify federal-specific gaps and help prioritize solutions.

What You'll Need
  • 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role supporting enterprise or government customers.

  • Prior experience within the Risk, Fraud, Identity, or Compliance domain — government context strongly preferred (benefits fraud, tax fraud, payment integrity, identity verification).

  • Proven success working with federal agencies, systems integrators (SIs), or large government contractors.

  • Active U.S. security clearance strongly preferred (Secret or above); must be eligible to obtain clearance.

  • Familiarity with federal procurement processes: FAR/DFARS, GSA Schedules, OTAs, and IDIQs.

  • Understanding of federal compliance and security frameworks: FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, CMMC, and the ATO process.

  • Experience with API-based products; comfort with JSON and ability to read code; familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical problems into mission-aligned solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to both technical teams and senior agency stakeholders (CIOs, CISOs, program offices, CDataO, Chief Privacy Officer).

  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with identity proofing standards (NIST SP 800-63, IAL/AAL levels) relevant to federal identity programs.

  • Familiarity with federal payment systems or benefit delivery programs (SSA, IRS, VA, HHS, Treasury).

  • Relationships within DHS, DOD, Treasury, or other key agency buyers.

  • Experience supporting programs on classified or IL4/IL5 cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).

Benefits we offer:

  • Generous compensation in cash and equity

  • Early exercise for all options, including pre-vested

  • Work from anywhere: Remote-first Culture

  • Flexible paid time off and Year-end break

  • Health insurance, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents - US and Canada specific
