General Summary

As Product Marketing Manager, you are part of a cross-functional team responsible for strategic marketing initiatives for the company. This comprehensive role’s primary focus is to communicate the product’s value to the target market and includes daily interaction and collaboration with various teams across the organization.

In close collaboration with the Product, Brand & Social Media, Design, Growth Marketing, Partnerships, UX and other members of the Marketing team. The Product Marketing Manager creates and delivers impactful strategic marketing campaigns for key company initiatives, and product launches to increase the value, visibility, and performance of our products in the market. Through cross-functional collaboration, in-depth product knowledge of the products and customers, the Product Marketing Manager develops and executes strategies to maximize exposure and adoption of products within the target market.

Core Functions: 

  • Product Value Proposition: Connect product features and releases to the value and benefits it provides the customer, unlocking the emotional connect to the brand and product.
  • Full Lifecycle Marketing: Launch new products and features as well as driving existing features with clear value props and adoption strategy.
  • Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling narratives, messaging frameworks, and positioning maps tailored to target specific audiences (e.g., coaches, athletes, training organizations).
  • Customer & Market Insights: Guide messaging and targeting through platform data and customer research.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate & align with cross-functional teams including Product, Brand & Social Media, Design, Growth Marketing, Partnerships, and UX to guide projects and campaigns to success.
  • Understand the competitive landscape: Be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned. Participating in customer research and interviews, as well as attending trade shows and events, may be required. 
  • Internal Stewdarship: Be the voice of the customer helping to drive the long-term direction while also championing internal product adoption & engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing, ideally with a SaaS based company.
  • Passionate about crafting and delivering impactful marketing campaigns to a global B2B & B2C audience.
  • Background in and/or personal passion for the strength & conditioning industry.
  • Proven success leading GTM plans for product launches or major initiatives and then carrying through to long-term product lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS marketing, product positioning, and sales processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to proactively prioritize, manage, and complete (on-deadline) multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints.
  • Must possess very strong writing, editing, and proofing skills, using proper English usage and writing constructs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google Drive Applications: Docs, Sheets, Slides.
  • Marketing management equivalent to a minimum of five years work experience.
  • Degrees are not required and we value all forms of continued education including traditional four-year degrees, post-graduate degrees, associates degrees, bootcamps, online training, professional certifications, self-teaching and more.

  • Familiarity with TrainHeroic. Bonus points if you are familiar with TrainingPeaks!
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability, and act on goals and objectives.
  • Self-starter, high-energy, with creative problem solving abilities and the ability to execute on business objectives.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven business communication and writing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with key corporate executives, co-workers, and industry contacts in a professional manner.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role in Colorado is $58,477-$97,461. Each role at Peaksware has a defined salary range based on market data and company stage. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands:

Travel:

Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Anticipated travel to include internal company events, meetings and training as well as customer events, trade shows and customer visits.
