General Summary
As People Operations Business Partner, you are responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership. The ideal candidate understands that forming partnerships and relationships of trust between the business and People Operations is of the utmost importance. You are a professional communicator who understands the changing landscape of HR policy and can be counted on for timely assistance. You understand that time is of the essence and act with a sense of urgency.
While this role has no direct supervisory responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have experience coaching or mentoring and a strong desire to leverage that experience in their work.

You will sit directly with the People Operations team, work in close collaboration with employees and leadership across the organization and report to the Director, People Operations.
Core Functions:
- Define and implement a cadence of meetings with key stakeholders to proactively discuss and address concerns.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance such as coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action, etc.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
- Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relations, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identify opportunities and help customize programs to fit the organization's needs.
- Identify training needs, both at team and individual levels, and make recommendations for resolution. Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met and implemented into practice.
- Understand and provide guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and restructures. Partner closely with the business to understand their unique strategy and needs.
- Stay abreast of current and future legal requirements. Understand how those requirements relate to and impact the day-to-day management of employees. Reduce legal risks and ensure compliance; partner with legal as needed/required.
- Facilitate voluntary and involuntary termination meetings.
- Demonstrate Peaksware values and serve as a role model for others in the organization.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as a Business Partner, Manager of HR, or similar.
- Demonstrated understanding of best practice HR concepts, with an ability to analyze and problem solve complex HR issues.
- Strong knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
- Experience managing complex employee relations situations, including HR investigations.
- Experience with coaching and talent development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail; process oriented
- Commitment and ownership of job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated initiative. Ability to identify things that need to be done or areas where assistance would be helpful, with the desire to jump in and assist without being asked.
- Curiosity, integrity, honesty.
Desired Qualifications:
- PHR and/or SHRM certification is a plus.

Benefits
Compensation:
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role in Colorado is $79,022 - $131,704. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
