We are seeking an Engineer - Power Generation, this role designs and coordinates projects for both public and private clients. What you will do:

  • Manage the design of projects, delivering high-impact solutions to clients.  
  • Monitor task progress, delegate responsibilities, and manage deliverables to meet deadlines and budgets.  
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the company to produce high-quality, client-focused results.  
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.  
  • Perform design-related tasks including 3D modeling, calculations, cost and quantity estimates, and plan development.  
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, project budgets, schedules, and public involvement efforts.  
  • Ensure adherence to internal and client standards, processes, and quality expectations.  
  • Troubleshoot design or construction challenges and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.  
  • Attend client meetings and provide updates on project scope, progress, and technical issues.  
  • Maintain accurate project records and document design decisions.  
  • Contribute to proposal writing, scope development, and fee estimates for new projects.  
  • Identify opportunities for additional services or follow-up work with existing clients.  
  • Support and mentor graduate engineers and technicians, helping foster their technical and professional growth.  

What you will bring:

  • Education:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred (or similar degree from an accredited institution).  
  • Experience 
  • Minimum 4-8+ years of progressive engineering experience in the A/E/C industry, including experience managing projects.  
  • Licenses/Certifications:  
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required. 
  • Software:   
  • Proficiency in Revit/CAD, Bluebeam Revu. 
  • Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc). 
  • Experience with cloud-based design tools such as BIM 360, Projectwise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.  
  • Working Conditions/Schedule/Location:   
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment.  
  • Must be able to work onsite at a WSB office, as needed, up to five days per week, as required by the project, client, or hiring manager. 
  • Travel or field visits may be required to support project needs or stakeholder collaboration.
