Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills and shop equipment to manufacture threaded connections to API 7-1/7-2 standards. Read blueprints, inspect finished parts, meet production targets, perform routine and emergency maintenance, manage tooling inventory, maintain safety and quality compliance, and support continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manufacture threaded connections in compliance with company and API 7-1/7-2 specifications
- Operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and related equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on machine shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all HSE, Quality, and company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Operate shop equipment such as presses, bandsaws, conveyors, cranes, hoists, and lifts
- Monitor production to meet daily and weekly output goals while maintaining quality standards
- Manage tooling and equipment inventory within the machine shop
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status
- Report directly to the Facility Manager or assigned company representative
- Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Good visual acuity, including color perception
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and comply with all company safety policies
Pay Range
- $22.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon experience
