General Summary

At TrainingPeaks, we build software that empowers endurance athletes and coaches to achieve peak performance. As an Associate Product Manager, you’ll play an important role in shaping the future of our athlete and coach experiences. On a daily basis, you’ll be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle, from research and ideation to launch and iteration. You'll help bring innovative, high-impact features to life that our users love, while gaining hands-on experience and building your product management skillset.

In this entry-level role, you'll report to the Manager, Product Management and work closely with senior product managers and cross-functional teams in Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data, and Customer Success to bring impactful features to market.

Core Functions:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather user feedback to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
  • Feature Development: Assist in defining product requirements, writing clear and concise user stories, and prioritizing features for development.
  • Product Testing: Participate in testing new features to ensure they meet quality standards and provide a great user experience.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Analyze product performance metrics and user data to inform product decisions and measure success.
  • Communication: Serve as a key communication bridge between stakeholders and the product team, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.

General Support: Support the Product Manager in day-to-day tasks, including gathering and analyzing product data, consumer research, and preparing reports and presentations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and consumer feedback.
  • Strong empathy for users and a passion for building products that solve their problems.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and understand competitor behavior.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills, highly detail oriented, with Lean and Agile practice experience.
  • Experience at the project management level, helping with road maps as well as product development process & frameworks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Degrees are not required and we value all forms of continued education including traditional four-year degrees, post-graduate degrees, associates degrees, bootcamps, online training, professional certifications, self-teaching and more.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous internship experience in Product Management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with endurance sports and the TrainingPeaks platform is a strong plus.

Compensation

Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual compensation range for this role in Colorado is $66,691-$111,151 Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.


This role is eligible for variable compensation, including bonus.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment that is well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned with adequate ventilation and a noise level that is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
