General Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst, you drive analytics projects through all phases, breaking problems down into concrete questions that can be answered with data, executing the analysis while making tradeoff calls on how deep to go, and translating findings into clear recommendations.

You will sit directly with the Data Analytics team, work in close collaboration with the functions across the company ranging from the Growth team to the Sports Brands Leadership team. You will report to the Director of Data and Analytics.

Core Functions: 

  • Lead the analysis of complex datasets to proactively identify trends, recommend actionable changes, and highlight areas of concern, contributing to the development of business objectives and organizational improvements.
  • Increase our understanding and influence outcomes by recommending solutions rooted in strategic analyses and your deep understanding of our customers and business.
  • Partner with the growth product and marketing teams to perform exploratory investigations into our consumer subscription data.
  • Independently design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to surface and report on key business data and metrics
  • Work as a strategic partner with product, marketing and engineering to define new data points and measures of success as new business questions arise.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes for the data team to become more efficient and impactful. 
  • Educate others in data literacy topics and evangelize how to best use data to make informed business decisions. 
  • Mentor others on the team, coaching individuals in terms of technical and business skills.
  • Provide feedback and reviews on analytics projects and analyses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Background in statistics, data analytics, data science, economics, or computer engineering. 
  • Very strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python for data analysis.
  • Experience with A/B test design and interpretation as well as statistical methods and concepts.
  • Experience mentoring others to evaluate data, draw meaningful insights, and create innovative solutions that address significant business needs.
  • Experience exercising discretion and independent judgment in implementing practices and making recommendations that influence organizational strategies and operational changes.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to create clear visualization and present complex data to a wide range of audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to help others distill problem definitions and constraints from informal business requirements.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with our products
  • Experience with consumer subscription or B2B business metrics
  • Experience with modern BI analytics tools (Sigma, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience with event tracking tools (Segment, MixPanel, Snowplow, etc.)
  • Expertise in product, marketing, growth, or operation analytics.

Compensation

Peaksware/TrainingPeaks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual compensation range for this role in Colorado is $94,874-$158,124. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.

This role is eligible for variable compensation, including bonus.
