
The Colorado tech industry will likely see a surge of new employees over the next several years following last week’s announcements. HNA Live will relocate its HQ to Denver. Delaware-based HNA Live will open its new headquarters in the Mile High City early next year. The company, which uses artificial intelligence and data to optimize manufacturing processes, is still searching for office space, according to HNA Live CEO Cooper Mojsiejenko. Boulder Ventures closed a $58M fund. The venture capital firm invests in Series A rounds for startups located in the Centennial State and mid-Atlantic region. This is the firm’s eighth fund. It will be used to invest in startups over the next few years, with plans to back three to four companies each year. [Colorado Inno]

Caliola announced plans to expand its HQ. Caliola, a communications technology startup specializing in the defense and space sectors, was founded in 2019 in Colorado Springs. Now, the company plans to expand its local presence by creating 372 new jobs thanks to a performance-based tax credit. The current 40-person team plans to hire across its engineering, product, executive, support and other departments. Caliola is also looking to open an office in Denver. [State of Colorado]
Pax8’s CEO was named CEO of the Year. ColoradoBiz Magazine named Pax8 CEO John Street as CEO of the Year. Street founded the cloud marketplace for IT professionals, which is now valued at $1.7 billion, in 2012.
