JOB DESCRIPTION

OutKick is looking for a versatile Sports Betting Writer to create compelling daily betting content that informs, entertains, and helps sports fans make smarter wagers.

This is more than writing picks. You’ll analyze the biggest games, explain betting trends, identify value before the market catches up, and engage one of the most passionate sports audiences online. You’ll also produce affiliate-focused content from editorial briefs while helping grow OutKick’s sports betting community through clear, authoritative, and entertaining analysis.

If you live and breathe sports, understand betting markets, and can turn insight into content people want to read and share, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Transform editorial assignments, commercial briefs, promotional campaigns, and research into polished articles that match OutKick’s voice and editorial standards.

  • Seamlessly incorporate affiliate links, betting offers, promotional callouts, and betting modules while maintaining a strong reader experience and following formatting guidelines.

  • Apply strong on-page SEO practices—including keyword targeting, search-friendly headlines, compelling meta descriptions, and effective article structure—to maximize search visibility and audience growth.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A genuine passion for sports and a deep understanding of sports betting, wagering strategy, and betting markets.

  • Strong knowledge of current events and the ability to quickly react to breaking news, injuries, line movement, and other factors that impact betting value.
