This Vice President, Marketing position is a new role within Vail Resorts, and reports directly to Kirsten Lynch, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. This new leader will drive business results across our resorts and segments, inject innovation and thought leadership into a broad set of marketing activities, and develop the marketing team members. The leader will oversee a revenue portfolio of $350 million and a budget of $9 million per annum.  Working with the new leader will be four direct reports and up to 100 team members, across Season Pass marketing and sales, media planning, creative services, content marketing and online experience (ecommerce and EpicMix).


Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and lead revenue growth strategies
  • Drive Season Pass Results
  • Lead centralized media planning for all resorts and divisions across the company
  • Transform Content Marketing for Vail Resorts
  • Enable execution of our Digital Vision and innovation roadmap
  • Invest in the development of our talent

Skills and Experience we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including demonstrated ability to drive results
  • Proficient in general media and digital marketing
  • Demonstrated success at increasing team and employee engagement
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working within a matrixed organization to achieve goals
  • Management experience and demonstrated success in planning, budget creation and oversight, setting priorities and executing plans
  • Experience sourcing and developing relationships with outside vendors, agencies, and creative talents
