About the Opportunity

As Sovrn’s Total Rewards Manager, you’ll be the hands-on practitioner responsible for the day-to-day administration of Sovrn’s global benefits, retirement, compensation, leave, and payroll programs. You’ll sit at the intersection of people experience and technical execution—serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers while keeping rewards programs running smoothly. 

You’ll have an impact on how Sovrn delivers rewards to employees. You’ll do that by making the day-to-day experience work well—administering rewards programs, supporting employees and managers, and looking for ways to make our processes simpler and more effective. Many of our programs and processes were built for an earlier stage of the company, and you’ll help evolve how they’re administered to meet the needs of Sovrn today.

Reporting to the Director of People, you’ll work closely with People, Finance, Accounting, employees, managers, and external partners to improve and support Sovrn’s Total Rewards programs.

What You’ll Do

Benefits & Leave

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers for Total Rewards questions and at key moments across the employee lifecycle
  • Administer Sovrn’s global benefits programs including medical, HSA/FSA, dental, vision, insurance, commuter, and parking benefits: process enrollments, election changes, terminations, invoices and payments, and plan changes across HRIS and vendor platforms
  • Coordinate annual benefits renewals, analyzing plan performance, costs, market trends, and employee needs and prepare recommendations for review
  • Administer time-off and leave programs, providing timely guidance to employees and managers, coordinating required documentation, and calculating leave payments

Retirement & Pensions

  • Administer US 401(k) and UK, Switzerland, and Germany pension programs, including employee inquiries, enrollment, election changes, audits, committee coordination, and ongoing compliance in partnership with advisors and and providers
  • Manage the financial wellness program, connecting employees with education and resources while tracking participation and outcomes

Compensation

  • Administer job architecture and job mapping; manage compensation vendors and market survey participation; run the market pricing model; analyze compensation data to support market-competitive and equitable pay recommendations
  • Execute the annual compensation increase cycle, including project timelines, analysis, communications, and implementation
  • Execute short-term incentive plans, including bonus and commission calculations, payments, plan documentation, and employee communication
  • Administer long-term incentive plans, including grant administration, plan documentation, and employee communication

Payroll

  • Process US and global payroll, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely pay

People Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate Total Rewards data, records, and configurations across HRIS and Total Rewards platforms
  • Simplify and automate Total Rewards processes using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and the employee experience
  • Monitor global regulatory requirements and support updates to Total Rewards programs and processes to maintain compliance
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of total rewards experience spanning benefits, retirement, leave, compensation, and payroll programs across the US and Europe
  • A track record of building trusted relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners built through credibility, reliability, and genuine care for people
  • An approachable and empathetic communication style that helps employees and managers feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and seeking help
  • The ability to explain complex reward policy information clearly and in plain language
  • A high degree of discretion and confidentiality when handling employee information
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve issues 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines, vendors, and priorities simultaneously
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to build models, analyze complex data, and turn insights into recommendations
  • Experience with job architecture, job mapping, market survey participation, market pricing, pay analysis, and annual compensation cycles
  • Experience administering bonus and sales incentive plans
  • Experience administering HRIS systems and Total Rewards platforms
  • Experience using AI tools to automate or improve workflows and efficiency
  • Working knowledge of benefits, retirement, leave, compensation, payroll, and related regulations across the US and Europe with experience implementing regulatory changes
  • CCP, CBP, and SHRM-CP preferred

Compensation and Benefits: The annual base salary for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 in Colorado. This range represents the good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. This range may be modified in the future. Individual compensation decisions are based on job-related education, experience, skills, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role may also be eligible for bonus opportunities, commission earnings, and/or equity awards, subject to the terms of the applicable plans.
