About the Role:
The Total Rewards Analyst supports Billtrust’s compensation, benefits, and payroll functions, partnering closely with the Total Rewards leader and senior team members to ensure accurate program administration, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will leverage AI tools to accelerate data analysis, reporting, and process documentation, focusing your expertise on the accuracy and integrity that total rewards work demands.
This role sits at the intersection of HR operations and people data, with broad exposure across global compensation benchmarking, multi-country benefits administration, and payroll support. It requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of discretion with confidential information, and the ability to operate independently on well-scoped work while flagging ambiguity early.
What You'll Do:
Compensation
- Maintain job data, pay structures, and employee compensation records in Dayforce and related HR systems.
- Support annual and off-cycle compensation processes including merit, bonus, and promotion cycles.
- Assist with market pricing and benchmarking activities, including survey participation and data submissions.
- Use AI tools to accelerate compensation reporting and surface data insights, applying judgment to validate outputs and ensure accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Benefits Administration
- Support day-to-day administration of employee benefits and wellness programs across Billtrust’s global employee population, navigating country-specific plan structures and vendor relationships.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits eligibility, enrollments, and plan details.
- Coordinate with benefits vendors and support open enrollment planning and execution.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable regulations across jurisdictions, including ACA and ERISA in the US and country-specific requirements across Billtrust’s international locations.
Payroll Support
- Support payroll processing activities including preparation and validation of payroll inputs.
- Assist with payroll compliance, tax reporting, and year-end activities such as W-2 preparation.
- Partner with Finance and external vendors to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls.
What You'll Bring:
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in total rewards, HR operations, compensation, benefits, or payroll.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management, modeling, and reporting.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate data analysis and reporting workflows, or demonstrated willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Dayforce HRIS.
- Familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools such as Radford or Mercer.
- Working knowledge of employment laws related to pay and benefits (FLSA, ACA, ERISA).
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
- Experience using AI tools to automate reporting, draft communications, or streamline HR data workflows.
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for additional incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
