Job DescriptionPosition Summary

CSUVetCE is seeking a reliable, service-oriented hourly employee to provide part-time technical and customer support for online continuing education programs. This position plays an important role in supporting learners and instructors, assisting with Canvas user account management, and resolving basic technical issues in a timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting common technology issues while working in a collaborative higher education environment. Previous customer support experience is required, and experience with Canvas LMS or another learning management system is strongly preferred.

Brief Work Unit Description

The Department of Clinical Sciences mission is to assure the health and productivity of animals to meet societal needs through high quality educational programs for professional veterinary medical students, graduate veterinarians, and the public through a faculty and veterinary medical center of excellence, and to advance and disseminate comparative biomedical knowledge in an environment of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Essential Job Duties
  • Respond to customer inquiries through email, phone, and/or other communication channels in a professional and timely manner.

  • Provide technical support for learners, instructors, and staff related to online course access and functionality.

  • Manage Canvas user accounts, including creating, updating, and maintaining enrollments as directed.

  • Troubleshoot technical support issues related to Canvas, course access, login problems, and other routine platform concerns.

  • Document issues, follow procedures, and escalate more complex concerns to the appropriate staff member when needed.

  • Assist with maintaining accurate records and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks related to online continuing education.

  • Deliver a positive customer experience that reflects the values of Colorado State University and CSUVetCE.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous customer support, technical support, administrative support, or related experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Basic technical proficiency and comfort learning new systems and software.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions accurately.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Canvas LMS or another learning management system.

  • Experience managing user accounts, enrollments, or similar system access responsibilities.

  • Previous experience supporting online learning environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.

  • Familiarity with customer support workflows, ticketing systems, or help desk processes.

Salary Range$15.16 - $18 per hour
