At Centennial Post Acute, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staffing Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent and appropriate staffing levels by skillfully managing nursing schedules and supporting ongoing recruitment efforts. Your work will directly impact the quality of care provided to our residents by maintaining adequate staff coverage, monitoring attendance, and assisting with the hiring process to meet the facility’s operational and clinical goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain monthly nursing schedules, coordinating staff requests to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

  • Track and update daily attendance records, including tardiness and absenteeism.

  • Notify the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) regarding employees with excessive absences or tardiness in accordance with facility policies.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and DNS to schedule modified-duty employees in compliance with medical restrictions and company policy.

  • Support the recruitment process by assisting with candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding activities.

  • Guide employees in accurately completing scheduling-related forms, such as timecards, leave requests, and day-off submissions.

  • Finalize and post staff schedules in a timely manner.

  • Assist with the preparation, submission, and filing of reports and documentation as required by company policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional human resource, staffing and recruitment-related tasks as assigned to support departmental operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, or healthcare recruiting; experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, management, and candidates.

  • Proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and HR systems; experience with Veras is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Team player with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
