- Develop procedural generation techniques and software that are compatible with Unreal, Unity, and/or raw mesh output, fed by semantic data about the real world instead of random numbers.
- Solve technical challenges to balance visual quality, realism, and performance in modern game engines, on commodity hardware.
- Contribute to the Pipeline and AI/ML teams' design and road mapping process to fine-tune a game environment-compatible data pipeline.
- Partner closely with leadership to understand the high-level product vision.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment, demonstrating a proven track record of success and leadership in the gaming industry.
- Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other similar game engines, including proficiency in developing interactive applications, optimizing performance, and implementing real-time 3D graphics and gameplay features.
- Proficient in both C# and Python, with a solid understanding of their respective ecosystems and the ability to leverage these languages for software development, scripting, and automation tasks.
Desired Characteristics:
- Enthusiasm for automated development processes and systems.
- Extensive experience with procedural generation tools such as Houdini, Unreal Engine's PCG (Procedural Content Generation), and/or Blender is highly preferred.
- Team-oriented and collaborative approach with a demonstrated aptitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn new methods, tools, practices and skills
