- Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase automation, scalability, and production efficiency
- Ensure outputs are production-ready and align with downstream technical art and gameplay requirements
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of procedural engineers and specialists
- Set clear goals, provide technical direction, and establish a high-performance, collaborative team culture
- Support hiring and onboarding of procedural and technical talent as the team scales
- Foster knowledge-sharing and continuous learning across tools, techniques, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in game development, VFX, simulation, or related technical fields, including experience leading projects or teams
- Experience in VEX, Python, or similar languages, with experience building scalable systems and tools
- Familiarity with targeting interactivity in real-time engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity
- Demonstrated experience developing or working with procedural generation systems.
Desired Characteristics:
- Hands-on experience with Houdini, Unreal PCG, Blender, or similar procedural content tools
- Experience working with geospatial data, simulation systems, or data-driven content generation pipelines
- Familiarity with AI/ML approaches as applied to procedural generation or content creation
- Experience building or supporting large-scale content pipelines in a production environment
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop technical teams
- Proven ability to operate across disciplines and influence without direct authority
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with ambiguous problem spaces
- Passion for building scalable systems and enabling creative teams through technology
