What You’ll Do 

We are searching for an experienced and detailed-oriented Staff Accountant to report directly to the Director, Accounting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This role will work closely with Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data, while adhering to healthcare compliance and private equity reporting standards. The ideal candidate is meticulous, analytical, and able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.  

The Day to Day 

  • Ensures the integrity of the accounting information by preparing monthly journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation relating to depreciation, amortization, prepaids, accruals, intercompany and a variety of other transaction types 
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting 
  • Manages fixed assets and intangible assets, including adhering to capitalization policies 
  • Responsible for managing monthly rent payments to landlords and keeping track of security deposits for leased locations 
  • Assists in monthly balance sheet, income statement and cashflow variance analyses 
  • Supports the Director, Accounting and Senior Accountant with the external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors 
  • Lead role responsible for filing all business tax types in multiple tax jurisdictions 
  • Perform in-depth cross training with Senior Accountant and Coordinator, Accounts Payable (AP) to be backup resource for all AP processes including expense reports and AP disbursements 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or 5+ years combined of related education, experience, or certification  
  • 1+ years’ progressive experience with full cycle accounting, financial reporting requirements, and GAAP accounting 
  • 1+ years’ Microsoft Excel experience (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, and manipulation of massive quantities of data) 
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.   
  • Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or CPA/CMA candidate 
  • 1+ years’ experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP system 
  • Healthcare or private equity backed company experience 
  • Experience with audit preparation and working with external auditors

Annual Base Salary Range: $66,000 - $77,000
