CIQ OVERVIEW

CIQ builds the enterprise infrastructure that powers the world's most demanding workloads. From the operating system layer through AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and cloud-native orchestration, CIQ delivers the speed, security, scalability, and sovereignty that major enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions depend on.

CIQ is the founding support and services partner of Rocky Linux and the developer of the RLC Pro family of Enterprise Linux distributions, Fuzzball workload orchestration, Warewulf Pro cluster provisioning, and Ascender Pro automation. Our customers include some of the largest and most technically sophisticated organizations in the world, working across HPC, AI/ML, defense, and regulated industries.

We are a company of builders, operators, and open source practitioners. If you want to do work that matters, at a company that is genuinely changing how enterprise infrastructure gets built and run, we want to talk.

POSITION SUMMARY

As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will own the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of CIQ's most critical cross-functional programs — ensuring engineering, product, and go-to-market teams remain aligned and accountable to shared goals across both on-premises and cloud environments.

This is a technical leadership role that demands structure, clarity, and a relentless focus on delivery. You will partner closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into well-defined programs with clear milestones, dependencies, and success metrics — then drive those programs to successful completion. Success in this role means the right initiatives land on time, with the right people aligned and outcomes that move the business forward.

  • Own end-to-end program architecture — milestones, dependencies, risk mitigation plans, and success metrics — reported with precision to senior leadership.
  • Translate strategic priorities into well-scoped, executable programs with clear accountability at every stage.
  • Lead delivery across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams, holding each function to committed timelines and defined scope.
  • Run structured review cadences that surface blockers early, drive resolution fast, and keep leadership aligned on risk.
  • Maintain program infrastructure — roadmaps and status cadences — that gives the organization real-time delivery visibility.
  • Define, track, and own program KPIs — delivering forward-looking assessments that give leadership genuine confidence in delivery.
  • Foster a culture of accountability through lean, outcome-focused processes — not bureaucracy.
  • Actively leverage AI tools to improve how we plan, assess risk, and report program health.
  • Build, refine, and institutionalize program management frameworks, playbooks, and tooling that scale with the company.
NEEDED TO SUCCEED

Successful candidates will have:

  • You’re not satisfied with tracking status — you close loops, remove blockers, and hold people accountable.
  • Deep enough technical literacy in Linux, enterprise infrastructure, and open-source ecosystems to independently assess risk and credibly represent trade-offs.
  • Bring technical fluency to engineering conversations — assess risk independently and represent program trade-offs accurately at every level.
  • Expert-level command of Jira, Confluence, and related tooling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator with the ability to influence from individual contributors to the C-suite.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority programs simultaneously and make priority decisions
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support industry events and customer on-site engagements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in enterprise software or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving cross-functional programs to successful completion — on time and within scope.
  • Experience working across engineering, product, sales, and customer-facing teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

BENEFITS

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Flexible paid time off.

  • Employee stock options.

  • Remote work; no travel required for most positions.
