Job Description

The Senior Client Systems Engineer is the technical lead responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Apple/macOS environments at Starz. As the primary expert on Apple systems, this role manages device policy, application packaging, compliance, and lifecycle operations across macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS platforms. Key responsibilities include administration of JAMF Pro and JAMF Connect.
The engineer also provides secondary support for Windows systems and applications, and maintains tools such as SCCM, MECM, Intune, Tanium, and mobile device platforms. This role mentors other engineers and promotes best practices across Apple client systems.

Responsibilities

· Create, manage and deploy automated MacOS builds with configuration and software delivery management systems including JAMF, Tanium, and CMDB.

· Serve as a technical expert and will lead and work with users and technical peer groups

· Manage Apple client environment, provide oversight on daily activities to set priorities, help with problem escalation, and communicate significant problems or issues to management

· Participate in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation.

· Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of future infrastructure systems and services.

· Create and maintain documentation on SOPs and system design.

· Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies.

· Assist capacity planning, upgrades and expansion of Apple and Windows Client environments.

· Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers and clients in support of assigned projects.

· Assist application packaging and patching deployment for the Windows environment.

· Execute change management activities supporting production deployments for projects and other changes.

Qualifications & Skills

· Strong experience in desktop engineering and endpoint system management, design, architecture.

· Understand foundations of user experience management, performance testing, and application packaging.

· Experience in software packaging and software delivery methodologies.

· Enterprise patch management experience.

· Enterprise Mobile Device Management experience.

· Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management and architecture.

· Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to upper management in an easily digestible way.

· Experience implementing and supporting virtualized computing environments both on site and in Cloud environments.

Compensation

$120,000 - $140,000
