The Opportunity

As Praxis prepares for commercialization, how we build and scale capability across the organization will help directly influence our success.  You’ll be embedded in a People Team that operates across Total Rewards, Talent Development, and HR Operations.  As Specialist, you’ll own key moments across the employee experience – every new hire handled with care, every benefit administered thoughtfully, every development opportunity unlocked.

The People Team at Praxis moves fast, operates with intention, and cares deeply about getting the people experience right.  You thrive on being a “go to” resource in a fast-moving environment and take ownership of making things work – reliably, efficiently, and with care for the people behind the process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate core People Operations processes, including benefits administration, leave of absence support, and execution of pay related actions all while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of execution.
  • Support the full workforce lifecycle across both employees and consultants, from onboarding through offboarding, partnering across teams to deliver a smooth, well-run experience.
  • Coordinate and support key People programs, including open enrollment, the Social Feedback System, and core employee experience moments such as 90-day check-ins and culture commitments.
  • Partner on employee relations–related processes and actions, helping to ensure thoughtful, consistent, and well-documented outcomes.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of company-wide events and gatherings, working closely with the Admin team to create high-quality, well-run experiences.
  • Maintain and improve People Team systems, templates, and documentation to support clarity, efficiency, and scale.
  • Support compliance and reporting needs, including employment verifications, audits, and data integrity across systems.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field; plus 2 – 5 years related experience. Experience in biotech or pharma a plus.
  • Self-starter who is result and detail oriented. Resourceful, innovative, intellectually curious and is able to take initiative and not afraid of taking calculated risks.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to embrace and adapt to changes and learns quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees and our external vendors and partners. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of people regardless of rank or title.
  • The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement.  You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
