Job Description

Portfolio Managers (PMs) are responsible for underwriting activities and preparing reports for distressed commercial credit relationships while supporting the Bank's risk management, workout, and loss mitigation objectives. PMs serve as the primary operational and analytical lead partnering closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Legal, Loan Operations, and senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that maximize recovery, minimize losses, and support risk management. As a senior member of the PM team, PM Managers are often tasked with the most challenging and complicated relationships, while also acting as a manager of a team of PMs with responsibility for staffing, performance management, prioritizing, guidance, and training.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than 12 years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in commercial banking, loan workouts, or special assets activities
- Advanced understanding of commercial credit structures, loan documentation, collateral, and assignment processes
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00
