Are you an experienced Software Engineer looking to grow your skillset and work on a project that has real world impact? Do you want to be part of a team that is helping the government solve major national security challenges in the space domain? We need your help.

Our team is looking for a back-end software engineer who is a creative problem solver that embraces learning new things and can rapidly prototype demonstrable software. You will be part of a small team tasked with supporting IR&D development and other prototyping efforts to help forge a path forward on several exciting business opportunities in the space domain awareness mission area.

Physical location for this work will be at the Parsons office in Colorado Springs with the opportunity to work from home a couple days per week if desired.
Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 5+ years of industry experience. Additional relevant experience, training and/or certifications may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Java software development skills with experience in back end enterprise application development​
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English
     

Desired Skills

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with DCID eligibility for SCI is a plus but not required
  • Experience with JavaScript UI development and libraries or frameworks such as Angular and React
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and/or Linux OS
  • Experience with machine learning and data science tools (e.g., Jupyter, Apache Spark, Google TensorFlow)
  • Experience with Python programming 
  • Knowledge of Space Operations and/or Space Domain Awareness

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
